Rare vintage Rörstrand SAB stoneware bowl in blue glaze. Originally designed for use as an ashtray, can also be used as a catch-all. Designed by Carl-Harry Stålhane, Sweden 1950s-60s. In excellent vintage condition, underside marked "R (three crowns) CHS Sweden SAB". Dimensions: Diameter 12.5 cm, height 4 cm Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920-1990) was a Swedish ceramicist known for his elegant, modern designs at the Rörstrand porcelain factory. He blended traditional ceramic techniques with modernist ideals, creating functional, beautifully textured pieces. His work, especially his stoneware vases and bowls, helped elevate Swedish ceramics on the international stage and he is celebrated for his contribution to Scandinavian design.
